Back on October 2019, my mom was flying out of state to accompany her dad who was going under surgery in Missouri. I was going to be left home with my dad who was attempting to stop drinking at the time. On the morning before she left I got this really bad feeling but dismissed it as separation anxiety. Sure enough, me and my dad were getting along just fine until the day my mom was supposed to come back my dad had gotten into his bottle of crown having too many glasses we ended up getting into an argument which went from verbal and then escalated to physical with us swinging punches at each other. He ended up grabbing me after I nearly hit him in the nuts and pinned me against the arm of the recliner and nearly choked me to death. I remember my vision becoming blurry before he let me go and I fell on the floor gasping. He hasn’t done it since but still drinks heavily.

I wasn‘t the lawyer but the prosecutor. A young nurse had forged vaccination documents for herself during the pandemic and was charged with forgery. It was a clear conviction. The only thing we were discussing whether her motives justified a stricter or more lenient sentence. Basically it was her and her lawyers job to explain why forgery was morally justified in this case. She started talking about existential anxiety. Knowing she was a nurse and she might have been worried about losing her job I asked her what she meant with existential anxiety. Thats when she went off on a long monologue whining about not being able to go to clubs and cafes and restaurants and how her life had become so miserable because of that. Her lawyer initially tried to interrupt her but she just kept talking and the lawyer just sunk into his chair. I asked her why she didn’t just get tested and go to restaurants like that (that was possible at the time of her crime) she answered that she got tested at her job everyday but on her days off it was so annoying to get tested. When I asked whether she considered it justified to risk other peoples’ and her patients’ lives just to avoid getting tested on her days off she once again whined and cried about how sad she was at home. I prosecuted dozens of these forgery cases and she got the highest sentence. The judge privately called it the asshole tax.

When I was in a Catholic school, they started this new thing called detention slips. You get one for a minor infraction and you have to get your parents to sign it. One time, I was working on a division problem. As I was writing a number, the teacher told me to stop and come over to the reading group. I got a detention slip because I finished writing the number I was in the middle of writing. Basically I had to have stopped in the middle of writing the number in order to be in the clear.

I had a therapist tell me just try not to think about it after I was taken from my home where my stepfather sexually abused me for months daily. Like thanks fam that helped a lot but anyone can tell me that. I was also showing clear signs of PTSD yet she didnt diagnose with anything. Therapist of the year.

I knew this individual was a psychopath when he bragged about lacing somebody as a teenager & then did the same to me, just with a different method of consumption. My dad and his buddies used to 'raid' each other, where they'd dress in all ninja gear with weapons, and sneak into each other's houses to leave a note saying they'd been raided.
